Rare Antique George V Medal Locket Photo Frame WWI Era English Royal Souvenir

This is a rare and unusual English royal souvenir dating from the World War I Era - a small and brightly gold plated King George V medal (ruled 1910-1936) inscribed George V King of England Cruntiktan. On the reverse it has a picture or keepsake compartment that can hold a picture and/or a small object. The medal shows the king's face in 3/4 view (quite unusual) and was probably issued in of one of the British colonies at the time. We have found a reference to this 'medalet' in a collectors' manual, but no further information so far. The pendant is 1.25 inch high including the bale, with a 0.75" (2 cm) diameter. The medal itself is 1.7 cm wide. The compartment about 4 mm deep lined in blue velvet, with a glass cover. To insert a photo, you have to raise the flower shaped prongs which secure the glass cover (a small blade might help), and bend them back over the glass afterwards. Let us know if you might need help fitting the picture - we can assist. The pendant is very brightly gilt, as if never used. It comes with a 21 inch gilt stainless steel chain. In great condition and ready to enjoy.

SHIPPING 
All international orders are shipped tracked, and usually expedited (delivery to most countries is 4-6 working days, whilst further destinations like Australia and Japan tend to take 5 - 10 working days). 

RETURNS We have a no quibble return policy, so if you are not happy with your item, please get in touch within 14 days and ship the item back to us within 30 days of receipt. Return postage is normally paid by the buyer (cf. Etsy's return policies).
