Antique Art Deco Dress Clip Brooch Large Diamante Buckle Pin

This is a charming 1940s Art Deco duette brooch and pair of dress clips in one. It is made of bright, well preserved silvered metal channel set with sparkly diamante, surrounding the princess cut crystals at the centre. The setting is three dimensional, with the crystals at the tips and in the centre ranged on raised tiers over the scrollwork arms at the sides.

The two halves of the bow can be detached by lifting the sprung clips (pictured), releasing them so they can be worn as dress or shoe clips, or even hair ornaments (so versatile!). The brooch has a secure roll over clasp and measures 2.2 x 1.9 inches. Remarkably well preserved, still very bright and shiny throughout.

Dress clips became deservedly popular during the Deco period because they could be used in all sorts of imaginative ways - to accent a dress neckline or jacket lapel, pin a scarf's folds or decorate shoes. They can also be fashioned into necklaces by pinning them onto velvet ribbon or a chain - or worn on flapper style headbands. Sophisticated, versatile and elegant!

All international orders are shipped tracked, and usually expedited (delivery to most countries is 4-6 working days, whilst further destinations like Australia and Japan tend to take 5 - 10 working days). 

RETURNS We have a no quibble return policy, so if you are not happy with your item, please get in touch within 14 days and ship the item back to us within 30 days of receipt. Return postage is normally paid by the buyer (cf. Etsy's return policies).
